This Carbon Management module is unique to the International College of Environmental Sustainability and is one for which the college is most renown. The module is endorsed by the Carbon Association of Australasia (CAA) and the curriculum developers include some of the brilliant minds who pioneered the carbon-trading scheme many years ago. Students will study the very latest ideas and practices in carbon management, auditing, accounting and trading in a practical, easy to understand environment. This module includes specific material from the CAA, which is delivered in universities throughout the world. ICES students will be shown how to use carbon management strategies for profit and effectiveness in reducing carbon impacts on our environment.
As Australia is already moving to account for carbon through the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Act and through independent regulatory measures that aim to internalise the environmental damage cost of carbon to company balance sheets, this module is a must for all companies and organizations.
