The International College of Environmental Sustainability, I.C.E.S. will present a free event to launch its new education program schedule. Designed to assist Australian businesses, local governments and individuals in the community, better understand the range of issues that influence our decisions today. Emissions trading legislation, carbon management, changes to the employment market, new measures of business success and prospect, water and waste management, new technological advances and the current status of the environment and, how these issues will affect us on a practical level will be discussed by a panel of experts in the field of environmental sustainability and the selected delegates who attend.
More than half of top Australian companies are described as having “unmitigated risk” of the impacts of climate change. Many of these companies have not taken measures to address their problems and reduce the risks to investors and other stakeholders in relation to monitoring, reporting or action on climate change and energy use.
This event is designed for representatives of Australian businesses, ASX publicly listed companies, and local governments and community groups who want to learn how to train their staff and leaders to better understand a suite of complex issues that face us today in relation to the development of an improved understanding of the importance of measuring, monitoring, evaluating and maintaining a sustainable environment and climate on this planet.
Renowned TV weatherman and environmental strategy consultant Rob Gell, along with several expert guest speakers, will expose the issues facing decision makers, and explain the complexities of emissions trading and other alternatives schemes being put forward to us today. This will present opportunities which were previously unavailable to fulfill the leadership and future green training needs for all Australian companies, government organisations and community groups. This groundbreaking seminar will also present a forum for all groups to share in the understanding of how our current actions will affect the environment of all who proceed us.
